Temporary accommodation

By delivering stable accommodation and a supportive environment, we give families the time and resources they need to transition to more permanent solutions. Our on-site support Team includes access to essential support such as counselling, completing forms, employment advice, and securing long-term accommodation through Property Pool applications.

Our temporary housing options range from fully self-contained rooms and apartments to simpler accommodations with shared facilities and common areas. Our portfolio of hotels and apartments is currently located across the Cheshire and Merseyside regions.

Background

Temporary housing became particularly significant during the COVID-19 pandemic when many people faced the risk of homelessness due to economic difficulties, eviction, or other crises.

In 2022, the Directors of Hillcrest and Liverpool City Council partnered in a collaborative effort to reduce homelessness and provide practical support to those with nowhere else to turn. The Hillcrest Hotel Widnes was repurposed to ensure it was fully fit for purpose.

Since then, Hillcrest has vitally supported those most affected by the living crisis and other challenges.
